Athletes are people who are capable of some very serious feats of physical prowess. Whether it’s in track and field, swimming, weights, running, or one of the many, many sports out there (and I think it’s easier to list the number of things that haven’t been turned to sports than those that are). As such, most star athletes are generally very young and with physiques that can only be gained and maintained by a very strict diet and daily gruelling exercise. Many of them do it for a living or receive some kind of stipend from the government or a sponsor in order to be able to do that, otherwise they’d all be too busy working to make a living, leaving far less time for the adequate rest, training, and willpower to eat right, all of which form the triangle of athletic superiority.

But let’s not kid ourselves…a lot of people just love athletes for their physiques. Having the absolute perfect body – this is what people admire the most about them. I don’t think most people really care about the sport, they just want to see them run so they can see their bodies in action. Men admire female athletes because…OK, let’s not kid ourselves. Men (myself included) are very, very attracted to these ladies.

So here we have 15 of the hottest looking athletes out there. These ladies trained hard and it really, really shows.

15. Jessica Ennis

Jessica Innes is a British track athlete who won the gold medal in the heptathlon in the 2012 summer Olympics. Not only is she the perfect specimen of female physical fitness, able to run very fast and for very long, her abs are a class in themselves. In fact, they should be given a gold medal for just being the most perfect abs ever found on any female torso. They’re beyond washboard perfect. They are just… I don’t know.

At any rate, Jessica Ennis definitely earned her place as both a gold medalist and on this list of hottest female athletes…which I’m sure is probably the lesser of the two honours…

14. Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey (alliterative name, I like it!) is the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, and a former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Among her other list of achievements, she is a also an Olympic Bronze Medalist in the 2008 Summer Olympics. While she has been criticized for trash talking, you cannot argue that with fists like hers and a face like that, she can probably get away with anything she wants. I wonder if she is married or has a boyfriend. She probably brags about protecting him from danger since he can’t do it himself. Not classy? Like I said, that’s what people are saying about her. She’s basically a female Mike Tyson.

13. Camila Giorgi

Camila Giogi is an Italian tennis player who plays with a two-handed backhand. I have no idea what that even means. I don’t play tennis. She has won over 2 million dollars in prize money from her games over the past 11 years. She’s also one intensely good looking lady. Tennis has always had a lot of very attractive female players, and Camila is definitely among those. She is also extremely talented at tennis, having won the WTA title in 2016 and 5 singles ITF titles in her career so far. Amid all this is some controversy about her father breaching a series of financial commitments, but that’s neither here nor there.

12. Hilary Knight

Hilary Atwood Knight is a professional women’s hockey player, an Olympic silver medalist for the US, and she is the MVP of the Canadian Women’s Professional hockey League, a four time world champion, and a three-time All American in women’s hockey. For all her incredible skill in the ice rink, it makes you wonder where she finds time to keep looking so good. If she was a guy, he’s probably trip over his beard since he wouldn’t have had time to shave. I guess she does still need to look good for all the photographs that they take of her when she’s winning all those games.

11. Whitney Miller

Whitney Miller is a Miss United States 2012 (which should tell you all you know to know about her legendary hotness) and when she isn’t dazzling people with her looks, she’s also a professional wake surfer and spends a lot of time studying Jiu Jitsu and is on her way to getting a black belt. Since I have a minimum to write per entry here I’m going to pad this out with a silly joke. Since she’s learning martial arts, one should not make jokes about her derriere, since she is more than capable of kicking yours if you do!

10. Sally Fitzgibbons

Sally Fitzgibbons is an Australian professional surfer (which means she’s one totally bodacious babe, dudes! Totally Tubular. OK enough 80s surfer talk…) and was a runner-up one ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) and a winner of 3 ASP world tournaments. I’m not a surfer, the only surfer I know (or at least someone who talks like one) is Michelangelo from the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles so that’s my only reference. Amid all of her surfing victories, she also has quite the beach bod to show for it, though I don’t think that’s what’s been winning her the competitions.

9. Julia Rohde

Julia Rhodes, born Julia Schwarzbach, is a German weightlifter (with a name like Schwarzbach, she cannot be anything other than German OR a weightlifter). She competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics where she finished 11th. That picture of her not only shows her sheer raw weightlifting power, but the incredibly orgasmic expression just shows how much effort it really takes to lift massive weights. I know. When I deadlifted 335 lbs myself, the rush I had in my head was incredible. It’s like I was floating on air for a moment (after dropping the weight) I got dizzy for a bit, as you would expect, so that orgasmic look on her face is just understandable to me. Pity she didn’t win the gold.

8. Danica Patrick

Danica Sue Patrick is an American Professional Stock Car Racer (NASCAR for those in the know), a model, and an advertising spokeswoman. Being a model AND a racer is something that I’m pretty sure is many a beer-guzzling American redneck’s dream. Of the many pictures of her, this is one that shows the modelling side of her career which there is no shortage of. Since this list is about the hottest athletes. Though even in her NASCAR jumpsuit, she still looks fine. She has an extremely Tom Cruisesque vibe that makes me want to quote the Top Gun quote ‘I feel the need… the need for speed’ a few dozen times until the US Navy decides to actually bomb me to get me to shut up. So I will do that right now, thank you very much.

7. Maggie Vessey

Margaret ‘Maggie’ Vessey (she sounds like a cartoon character. Someone needs to take that name and make it happen!) is an American athlete who specializes in middle distance track events while looking extremely when doing it. She got her start when she attended California Polytechnic State University and won the Big West Conference 800m championship… twice. This kick started her career in both athletics and in looking amazing while doing it. Just about all of her photos out doing her sport look like an 80s commercial for… something. I don’t know, you know what I’m talking about, having a girl run at the beach while some voice over is selling you something. Yeah… that kind of commercial.

6. Natalie Gulbis

Natalie Gulbis is an American professional golfer. She was born and raised in Sacramento, California, not too far away from Los Angeles, where all the hot ladies go to live, and she started playing golf at the age of four, and she won her first tournament at the age of seven, and she was breaking par at age ten. Winning tournaments at 7? Just who was se competing against? I mean I know that country clubs try to get people when they’re young, but do they have tennis for toddlers, too? Natalie does have signs that she’s been out in the sun too long. Her face is starting to turn into a California raisin, which is a reference I’m sure she’s going to get… and probably would want to whack me with a golf club for making, but trust me, it’s worth it…

5. Skylar Diggins

Skylar Kierra Diggins-Smith has the first name of an 80s cartoon heroic base of operations, and her Diggins last name is so hobbit-like that Frodo is sending her an invitation to tea. Man padding out these entries can lead to some really weird, non sequitur jokes. Anyway, she is an American basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women’s National Basketball Association. She is number 3 overall in the 2013 WNBA draft, and she is a two time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in the nation. It’s good that she is playing against other women, because if she was allowed to play against men, they wouldn’t stand a chance, since they’ll be too distracted by the hotness to play well.

4. Winifer Fernandez

Winifer Fernandez is a volleyball player for the Dominican national team. She played during the 2016 Olympics in Brazil, where she got incredibly famous for this prone photo you see here. Seriously, I don’t even need to make any jokes about this… it seems that all the guys are just interested in seeing her in that pose. When I looked up photos of her, they all had her prone with her posterior showing in said position. Come on guys, we’re better than this. We can make 80s cartoon jokes and sexual innuendos and other stuff, it doesn’t have to be this crass. Ahh who am I kidding, Tim Allen was right. Men are pigs…

3. Maria Kirilenko

Maria Yuryevna Kirilenko-Stepanova is a Russian Tennis player who, in 2002, won the US Open Girls’ Singles and won her first WTA Tour title in 2005. She reached three Grand Slam singles quarterfinals, and in doubles she reached two Grand Slam quarter finals, and she won the 2012 WTA tour championship, and was a bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympics. She is also a model and when she isn’t slamming balls across the court, getting the 15-love, she’s winning the love of many men with her stellar looks and ability to pose for a photo. Her prize winnings from her tennis matches are nearing 7 million so far, making her quite the successful player.

2. Sydney Laroux

Sydney Rae Laroux Dwyer is on the US Women’s Soccer team and she among the best female soccer players in the world, having won an Olympic gold medal in the 2012 Olympic games. She started her career thanks to a family connection and tradition of playing sports. Though her family were baseball players instead of soccer. She was playing soccer ever since she was a child and began to go big when she was in college at UCLA, before moving onto the Vancouver Whitecaps. Being born to both Canadian and American parents, she has been able to play for both nations in their national teams. Nice to see some cosmopolitan soccer players here.

Paige Spiranac is an American professional golfer, a media personality, and an anti-bullying activist. Basically she is not only a superbly attractive woman on the outside, but on the inside as well. She’s doing this as a part of her own childhood of being bullied. I guess she managed to channel that focus into becoming one of the best golfers in the world. Her beauty, she sees, is something to be overcome. Yeah that’s actually a problem she has…since a lot of people tend to focus on that instead of her playing the game.
