15. Semen Gendler is a white man who had his skin changed to black after a transplant

If there is an interesting story, then the life of Semen Gendler is definitely one. Doctors diagnosed Gendler with cancer and hepatitis C when he was 66 years old. Doctors told him he needed to get a liver transplant in order to live. However his age was a huge problem, which is why Semen couldn’t find the right donor in the United States. So he decided to travel to Russia. In Russia, Gendler had surgery and received a liver transplant from a black man. Why is this man unusual? Well, it is an understatement to say that his appearance has changed since this transplant. His skin color started to become darker. Gendler truly believes that the reason for this drastic change was because he received a black person’s liver. He stated, “It’s incredible, I am now so full of energy and living. If my skin ends up dark who cares, I certainly don’t.”

14. Jeff Dabe has Popeye forearms

Everybody remembers Popeye the Sailor cartoons and his huge forearms. This Popeye cartoon character who beat up bad guys has a real life equivalent whose name is Jeff Dabe. Jeff is from Minnesota, and he is actually a professional arm wrestler. This man was actually born with massive forearms. According to the doctors, he doesn’t have any discernible medical condition. To understand how big his forearms are, let us look at the numbers. Both forearms measure in at 19 inches and both of his hands are the size of a basketball. Doctors first thought that this was a case of some form of gigantism, but in the end, they turned out to be inaccurate. Dabe’s body is built differently from us, but he actually uses it to his advantage. He used his right hand for wrestling for a long time, before he injured it. Now, he is using his left arm and dominates the arm wrestling circuit.

13. Michele Ivey is a woman obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

If you thought that you were a fan of the TV show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we bet this woman will blow you away. Michele Ivey has collected Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles memorabilia since she was a little girl, and in the process, ended up with an entire room devoted to this popular TV show. Ivey also has replica costumes in her unique collection that were used in the movies from the early 1990s. Ivey became famous when she constantly dressed up like a turtle, and she claimed on television that she believed she was the fifth Ninja Turtle. The fun part was that she actually lived on a diet of pizza. Due to her obsession, Ivey created a fan website devoted to her favorite turtles. Ivey said in an interview that the show actually made her look like a bigger fan than she actually was and that she didn’t belong on the Totally Obsessed TV show. On the other hand, this woman is more obsessed with the turtles than anyone else in the world.

12. Jack Laflin is dressed in a merman outfit 24/7

We all love mermaids, and they have been a big part of our culture. In the past few decades, they became massively popular due to movies such as The Little Mermaid and Splash. Jack Laflin is trying to change the way people think about mermaids. It is actually Laflin’s job to dress up as a merman non-stop. He goes by the name Merman Jax. Jack is 33 years old and lives in Los Angeles. You can often see him showing up to events carrying water and a swimming pool. Our merman says he was born in the cold waters off of Northern California, near the city of San Francisco. People actually have to carry Jax around on land because he doesn’t take the tail off. He stated, “I saw people buy mermaid tails for fun, and I thought, this seems like a missed opportunity. Why not make a business out of it?’”

11. Evelyn is a girl who is addicted to inhaling air freshener

Almost everyone has some kind of an addiction that they are battling. Some of us are trying to stop smoking, overeating, or drinking. On the other hand, 27-year-old Evelyn is unusually addicted to inhaling air freshener. Don’t get confused; she does not spray it for fun around her house. Evelyn actually is addicted to inhaling it quite often. Evelyn is a mother of two who lives in Missouri. She claims that she can’t resist the taste of Fresh Linen. She loves the taste of the spray, and this is why she sprays air freshener directly into her mouth every day. This is something that she has been doing for several years now. Sometimes the spray itself isn’t enough for Evelyn, so she takes the liquid form of Fresh Linen and mixes it up with some crushed ice and drinks it. As you can guess, the doctors told Evelyn that she needs to stop her odd behavior. Her addiction was even featured on My Strange Addiction, a TV show on TLC. She said that she would never use the apple crisp air freshener anymore, because according to her, it tastes like dirt.

10. Ted Richards is a man who is making himself look like a parrot

As we already know, the term parrot head refers to Jimmy Buffett fans who love margaritas. Somehow Ted Richards changed it completely. Richards is a 57-year-old man from England who has completely devoted his life to looking like an actual parrot. This unconventional man has had a massive transformation that includes more than 50 piercings and 100 tattoos on his body. The strangest alteration he has made so far is the fact he had his ears removed to achieve a more birdlike structure to his head. Richards owns five parrots, and he loves them very much. He is currently going through another transformation which will result in his nose looking more like a beak. Richards is quite pleased with his progress so far and says, “I think it looks really great. I love it. It’s the best thing that has happened to me.”

9. Francisco Domingos Joaquim has the biggest mouth in the world

Have you ever heard of someone telling you that you have a big mouth? This normally refers to talking too much or that you can’t keep a secret. But when it comes to Francisco Domingos Joaquim, it means literally that he has a big mouth. This man from Angola has the largest mouth in the world, according to the Guinness World Records, which measures in at 17 centimeters or 6.7 inches wide. He’s the type of guy you shouldn’t call to the buffet, as he could eat everything in sight very quickly. In order to have a clearer picture of how big his mouth actually is, he can fit an entire can of soda in his mouth and he still has room left over to put something else in. This 25-year-old doesn’t need a lunch bag as he can actually keep his entire lunch in his mouth. In Angola, his friends call him the Angolan Jaw of Awe. Not a bad nickname, isn’t it?

8. Paul Karason was a human Papa Smurf

If you haven’t already heard, Paul Karason who became very famous on the Internet a few years ago after he appeared on the Today Show to discuss a condition that permanently changed his skin into a deep blue color, has died. Paul was 62 years old when he passed away on a Monday in a Washington hospital. He was admitted there after he suffered a heart attack. His wife, Jo Anna Karason said to the press that Paul, unfortunately, also had pneumonia, and later suffered a severe stroke. The doctors did not determine the cause of death immediately. “Paul Karason had suffered heart problems for years,” said his wife. Karason actually started turning blue about 15 years ago after he started using a special silver-based preparation formula to treat his skin condition. Additionally, he had been drinking colloidal silver, which is a product made of silver particles suspended in liquid. In 2008, Karason decided to appear on the Today Show to discuss his condition known as Argyria. He again appeared on the show just a year later after his first appearance. He earned the nickname Papa Smurf because of his white beard and the blue color of his skin.

7. Yu Zhenhuan is the hairiest person in the world

Yu Zhenhuan had a pretty tough life growing up as a child. Other kids were mean and even hurled stones at him and called him bad names. This Chinese man has 96% of his body covered with a very dense black hair, making him the hairiest man in the world. He often had thoughts about hair laser treatment but unfortunately, he has not had much luck with any hair removal methods. Yu, fortunately, turned his life around after he had a lot of problems growing up. Although he hasn’t found any treatment that could help him effectively get rid of his hair, he actually became famous after starring in a movie called The Adventures of a Hairy Child. He learned how to play the guitar and the saxophone, and this helped him forget about the old and tough times. Yu has excessive hair all over his body except for the palms of his hands and the soles of his feet. This created a huge pile of everyday problems. His long eyelashes obscure his sight, he can’t really hear well, and he has breathing problems because of the hair growing out of his ears and nose.

6. Diamond Rich has tattooed his entire body

Meet Diamond Rich, often called Lucky Rich, who was originally born under a different name, Gregory Paul McLaren. This man from New Zealand is the world’s most tattooed person. He took this title that previously belonged to a man named Tom Leppard. Lucky Rich has so many tattoos that they actually cover his whole body. The tattoos even cover his mouth, eyelids, ears, and believe it or not the foreskin. This guy was officially certified by the Guinness World Records in 2006, for being 99.9% tattooed. He is actually a street performer, as well as an artist, who performs internationally in various art festivals. In his act, he swallows swords and even juggles different items while riding a unicycle. As a young boy, Lucky Rich became very interested in men and women who had their bodies covered with tattoos. Not long after that, he received his first tattoo. He got a small juggling club on his hip. After the first one, as many people do, he received a second one, but he didn’t stop there. Rich tattooed every part of his body, including his intimate areas. He did some white tattooing on his black tattoos and added colors. Ever wonder how long putting these tattoos on his body took? It took Rich over 1000 hours to get his tattoos. They have been done by hundreds of tattoo artists all over the world.

5. Steve Kuclo is a real-life Hulk look-a-like

If you were a little older, you might remember the time when steroids were legal in American sports and were highly encouraged. Due to this widely spread approbation, steroids changed many athletes, making them bulkier than ever, which pushed them to be all-stars in their respective sports. The use of steroids brought them fame and popularity. Like many of these dangerous substances, steroids became popular outside of the sports industry, which were subsequently banned from usage. This didn’t stop Steve Kuclo, a bodybuilder and a firefighter, who continued using steroids to maintain his looks. Many people noticed him due to his resemblance to the Incredible Hulk. His muscles were ripping out of his skin. Kuclo is very popular with women. Some women might even pretend that they need to be rescued by this Incredible Hulk look-a-like.

4. Sultan Kosen is the tallest man in the world

This farmer from Turkey holds the Guinness World’s Record for being the tallest man. Sultan’s height is measured at 251 centimeters which is 8 ft 3 inches. Incredible, isn’t it? Unfortunately, becoming the tallest man in the world came about because of a tumor that affected his pituitary gland. Kosen is so tall that he needs crutches to walk. But don’t let his height deceive you. This guy is funny, makes jokes and has said that he found many advantages of being tall. Some of the advantages include being able to see greater distances, helping his family with ordinary chores like hanging curtains or changing the light bulbs in the house. One interesting fact: his parents, brothers, and sisters are all taller than the average person. Sultan Kosen has recently become a part of the Magic Circus of Samoa and participates in different shows all around the world.

3. Chandra Bahadur Dangi was the shortest man in the world

Chandra Bahadur Dangi was born on November 30th, 1939 and passed away on September the 3rd 2015. He was known as the shortest man in recorded history, measuring only 54.6 cm which was 1 ft 9 1/2 inches. In other words, Dangi was a dwarf. When Dangi was discovered, he broke the existing record held by Gul Mohammed, who measured 57 cm which was 1 ft 10 inches. A wood contractor noticed Chandra walking in his native village in the Dang district of Nepal. After that, he was given the title of the shortest human being in the world. His height was measured in February 2012. After his measurement, he was placed in the Guinness World Records. His three brothers were tall, while his sisters were of an average height. It is still unknown what condition he had which caused him not to grow. The shortest man in recorded history lived in a remote village of Reemkholi approximately 250 miles away from Kathmandu. Before he became famous and was awarded by the Guinness World Records, he had never been outside of his village. After he won, he wanted to see more of the world, and travel to all parts of Nepal. When he was 73 years old, he had the pleasure of meeting another record holder, Jyoti Amge of Nagpur, India, who is known as the shortest woman in the world.

2. Patrick Deuel was the heaviest man in the world

We all gain weight eventually in our lives. Some less, some much more. We get rounder around the holiday seasons, during vacations or trips to our grandma’s house. From then on, time causes us to add to our bodies a little bit of fluff. With chocolate muffin tops and delicious cupcakes, we typically gain 15 to 20 pounds. This, of course, can get out of control, but who wouldn’t eat that last donut?. Well, now imagine gaining a hundred times more weight than 15 to 20 pounds. Patrick Deuel, known as the Half Ton Man, was the heaviest man in the world. Deuel lived in Nebraska and weighed over 1,100 pounds. He lost every possibility of having a normal life. Before his death, he underwent surgery, causing him to lose over half of his weight. He dropped 570 pounds! This man made a huge change, and everyone thought he would reach his goal, but he died on April 29, 2016, at the age of 54.

1. Vijay Kumar is a man with 37 teeth

If you haven’t noticed anything strange in this photo, look again. If you consider the fact that human beings only have 32 teeth as adults, this time look more carefully. Have you noticed something unusual going on? Meet Vijay Kumar, the man who has 37 teeth (if you are bad at math, it is actually five more teeth than anyone has in the world). The fun fact is that this Indian native realized he had more teeth than a normal person when he looked into the mirror and noticed he had two rows of teeth. This 28-year-old guy now says that he finds his world record entertaining. Kumar said, “Wherever I go, I have to brush after lunch. Sometimes if I don’t clean it up, seeds get stuck in the upper jaw. Even though it doesn’t seem like a big problem, taking pictures of this phenomenon is not easy. It’s not a big place to get a camera and lights in.” Maybe he can get some help from the other unbelievable people on this list.
